Hi, my name is Harin. I’m a 22-year-old full-time wheelchair user; I have cerebral palsy, which means I need the use of a profiling bed and a hoist for all transfers. I am very adventurous and love to attend concerts and shows around the UK, trying to find somewhere to stay overnight is extremely difficult for me not only needing to find suitable accommodation for my needs but also the extra price tag that’s added when anything is for someone with a disability the price always increases.
I have started this petition because I believe everyone should be included regardless of disability or ability. I think all hotels and accommodations should have the use of a hoist and profiling bed should they be needed. It would make a massive difference, even if this is only one room. This would change my life and that of others around me who have the same issues with finding accommodation. It would reduce our stress and give us more freedom to travel the country.
